Pole Repair Instructions
-
Lay the pole run out on the floor
-
Untie or cut the shock cord at the end nearest to the damaged section. (For fibreglass poles, the knot may need to be hooked out from the end ferrule using a pole threader and for alloy poles the end section will need removing)
-
Release the shock cord and pull back through to the damaged section whilst making sure the pole sections are in the correct order.
-
Using a junior hacksaw, cut the new section to the same length as the damaged section (The pole ends may need filing to remove any rough edges).
-
Replace the damaged section with the new section.
-
Tie a knot at one end of the shock cord and then re-thread it through the sections making sure they are in the correct order.
-
Once all the sections are threaded pull the shock cord to create the tension and re-knot at the end to secure.
